you don't need to hit the red anti-chant thingy with a bomb to open the portal. Just the start of the chant would open the portal even if Abe get's shocked, then you could enter it and get out.

You can cook grenades, so hold it for 3 seconds and throw it straight up at the chant suppressor so that it will blow up in mid air.
