i could handle all of it, except the personal hygiene!! no deodorant, no TP, no hot showers, no AC, etc.....

YES LIFE WAS BAD AND CROWDED AND CRIME WAS RAMPENT, BUT UNNLIKE TODAY THE PEOPLE OF THAT ERA DID NOT GLORIFY GANG LIFE HONESTY, HONOR,, PRIDE, RESPECT AND VALUES WERE TAUGTH AND PRACTICED. PEOPLE HAD RELIGIOUS VALUES AND DID THIER BEST TO FIND WORK OF ANY SORT NOTHING WAS TO LOW AS LONG AS IT WAS ABLE TO GET THEM OUT AND EDUCATION FOR THE YOUNGER WAS HELD AT THE PINNICLE. TODAY THIS IS NOT THE CASE TODAY THIS LIFE AND MISERY IS GLORIFIED AND THOSE WHO BRING IT ON ARE ALSO GLORIFED I WONDER WHY

i dont think everything about life back then was so bad, No gas, no car, no cell phone. no texting, no electric bill, no justin biebers,no computers, no tv, most ate what they grew or killed, people worked hard.. technology has made us weak, and killed the simple life.... but on the other hand back then no medical technology, people died of simple things like a fever and flu, and i could not think how terrible it was to go to a dentist or have surgery back then
