I appreciate how this new genre of music can match up to the choreography ,but, It's Sacreligoius from a Musical standpoint to mute Gershwin .

I appreciate it.... but the whole time, I just wanted to hear the original symphony.:( Especially while Leslie danced.

dreadful... just someone's attempt to steal someone elses art and creativity.

As a huge fan of musicals, especially this amazing film, I just wanted to say you've made an awesome video. The haters of this video are just trolls who don't like the music you used.

LOL it actually works together

This is so fun! I love old musicals, and the choreography put to Kanye et all is lovely, and fresh. Put a smile on my face. :) The "Alpha step" etc. with the ballet dancers on pointe is quite cool to watch.

Gorillaz fits pretty well!

You're absolutely dead on Betty. The movie's called "An American in Paris"... hmmm... I wonder why? It couldn't be because the movie is based on Gershwin's symphony, could it?
I hate to knock people for trying their hand being creative. And don't want to assume the maker of this video didn't do their homework. But it sort of reminds of the scene Amadeus where the emperor doesn't allow Mozart's music in the ballet scene... an egregious error.
An American in Paris is all about Gershwin :)

actually, ice cream on steak sounds delicious.

if this had been the music, the movie never would have been made. each to their own places, this is like putting the ice cream on the steak, doesn't fit together. it is like wearing a tee shirt with a tuxedo pant, or a pair of cowboy boots with bathing trunks. its not suppose to work , so ha ha. but don't disrespect the greatness there , my friend because it makes you seem less than cultured , intelligent , or knowlegable about our society and music , period.

@bettygoodbody UGH. Jesus Christ. This is YOUTUBE. I'm not claiming to have improved on the movie. I'm not a huge fan of any of these songs, (welllll Pulp and Kanye are pretty good) but that's not the point. You need to chill out and realize that me putting up this video here hasn't hurt Gershwin or Gene Kelly or you. I simply noticed how it's funny that our brains match up some of the choreography and this music from an entirely different time period. I'm not making a statement.

You shouldn't mess with perfection from the orignal.

this was done out of respect for the original... i'm not really claiming to have improved on it, just that this is fun to watch too.
