Hmmmm, I don't know about that. I'm 14 and I got into them about a year ago. I heard of them by listining to Nirvana, which is just as popular as they were almost 20 years ago. I have several other friends who love the pixies and I'm sure there are a bunch more, so I don't think they will lose their reason to make more music.

They're not making any more albums. Kim just won't do it out of spite, and they can't do it without Kim. In another year or two it'll be too late anyway, there fans will all be well into their middle years, and the younger generation isn't going to take an interest in 4 freaked-out old people.
