Track 11 of my 2009 album "Garden Variety". An old song that never really got perfected, but is still a pretty decent song. A friend of mine died in high school - not one of my closest friends but a very good bloke who would've done well as a man had his time not been cut short. I didn't find out for several months - I actually thought he'd just moved away without saying goodbye! No matter the circumstances it always comes as a shock and the whole school felt some degree of loss, but for those of us left behind life goes on and eventually we overcome our grief and thrive and appreciate the world around us again. This goes out to everyone who's lost a mate or a brother, son or dad.
