Hi Lid. You talk about trimers, pots, and rheostats alot. What is the difference? I know pots limit current. I believe Rheostats do that to, but I might be wrong. I have no I idea what a trimer is or what it does. Do they all limit current, but in different degrees. You talked about Rheostats limiting voltage, so I'm confused. Can you explain?

i like the radio addition. my question is : when tuned to have the most charge/run and least amount of input current, what is the frequency that you hear? Cool Edit can figure it out i believe, if you were to record it. great work!

Why would I break an all ready efficient fan? I could but I would not get over unity and chances are I would reduce its over all efficiency, Why don't you how ever educate your self on what data to track then trace all the power paths and losses your self? Then I willn't need to comment on any thing you'd see for your self.

Unfortunately there is nothing for him to correct, I been doing electronics for well over 15 years now.
Over unity is a fantasy, one worth exploring but reality will quickly kill off any claims when tested, now given one can come up with things that are much higher efficiency but not over unity.

Lidmotor is polite not to correct your point of view.
Dr: Linderman, lidmotor, Imhotep, working very hard on this over unity device and improvement for a long time.
Why don't you just modify a simple Imhotep PC fan to SEE for yourself ???
Too lazy?
you are spreading wrong message here !!!

just google, 12V fluorescent driver circuits, you get hundreds of different designs
It would be nice for there to be such thing as over unity but there isn't most we can hope for is the most efficient usage of energy at hand!
You are well below unity, you are consuming energy from the drive battery and then putting a fraction of the consumed energy to the charging battery and tossing the rest with the lights and circuit inefficiencies.
CFLs are V dependant not current as much, to drive a tube in cold cathode mode takes very little current, fyi all scanner tubes are driven by 2 transister fly back circuit.

Thanks for the info on the cold cathode circuit. Maybe a two transistor flyback design is worth looking into.

"What I did, is I had my little Handy Dandy AM radio" HAHAHAHAAHAHHA! Handy Dandy Radio for sure! :D CANT STOP LAUGHTING! SO FUN!
Very nice setup! You are consuming about 14W for those 2 lamps, it is something going on!

And remember---I'm capturing some of that energy back into another battery. This is just a Handy Dandy little device!! LOL :)

excellent. You beat me to it. :) tried to put it together last night but had some trouble finding correct resistors. good work man. you don't mess around.

I think that this is the answer. The people who can calculate the correct values for all the parts can finish this.
