Naugy beats Seymour...final score 1-1

No that is not a typo!!! Naugy scores with 1 second left to beat Seymour and the referees decide to disallow the goal...without conferring with the official timekeeper. Worst call by a ref ever...right up there with the disallowed U.S. goal at the 2010 World Cup. Listen carefully and you can hear the timekeeper counting down the time as the ball hits the net. Watch the time on the video and listen to the countdown. Timekeeper count at 6 and video is at 11 seconds; timekeeper count at 5 seconds and video is at 12 seconds; timekeeper count at 4 seconds and video is at 13 seconds; therefore clock will run to zero at 17 seconds. The ball hits the net at 16 seconds on the video, i.e. one second on the clock. Only one conclusion from the evidence.....GOLAZO.

@jbob098 1. The man counting down is the OFFICIAL TIMEKEEPER, if he's not a reliable source than who is? The refs don't even keep the time on their watch. 2. The net is 4 feet BEHIND THE GOAL LINE, which is what the ball needs to cross to be considered a goal, not the net. 3. The original call was that it was a goal, therefore the 5 minute meeting in the center of the field to WRONGLY OVERTURN it. 4. The horn didn't blow because the clock stops on a goal. Anymore genius insights?

this game was sickkkk. I play JV for seymour and i was breathless when i saw naugy score that goall. i really thought it was a for sure that was a goal! we once again got verrrry lucky

Jbob098: Timekeeper never said 0! You must have timed from 9 (yes, best start) to 1 or to ball in goal. I did that several times, ranging from 6.88 to 7.03, averaging 7.0 vs your 7.1. So yes, he COUNTED TOO FAST (8s in 7), NOT TOO SLOW as uhmitscarissa argued to support his hope that real time ran out before ball crossed line at timekeepers ‘1’. He may have started a fraction late, counting a little fast to catch up, but there was time left unless he started his count 2 sec late!

The OFFICIAL time is the CLOCK, NOT the person controlling the clock. He may be the timeKEEPER but HIS countdown is NOT official if there's a clock on the field. I was at the game and just before 1/2 time, the clock counter was off on his countdown. I agree this is a questionable call. Unfortunately, the clock did not have a horn so the refs call is the FINAL call and so it is.....a TIE. (Nice shot though)

too bad this wasnt a goal. u can blame your school for buying a 5000$ scoreboard without a horn on it. not the refs. ha. it definetly didnt go in b4 the buzzer. i had enough time to look at the scoreboard where it sed 0 and then lookd back over and ti still wasnt in. nice try

I times on a stopwatch how long it took mr. reliable to count from 9 down to 0 and it was 7.1 seconds. Hmmm.. interesting. Unless the time keeper started the countdown nearly 2 sec. late, the ball was in the net before time ran out. See for yourself by pausing the tape and scrolling to where the u-tube counter is in its 6th sec. After you start tape rolling, timer says "10". Pause and scroll ahead to 15th sec on u-tube's counter. The ball is in the goal, less than 9 sec after timers '10'. Timekeeper actually counted fast from his '10' to his"2" after Nolan's shot (8sec). Was only 7 sec from u-tubes 6th to its 13th.
