In the serial Train Travel "Rotterdam" this is part 3/6.
Visiting this city means also being aware about the why this city is so modern, and not having, just like similar cities as Amsterdam, Haarlem, The Hague, Utrecht and Groningen, a beautiful characeristic historical center.
This is the reason why:
On May 14, 1940, Rotterdam almost completely disappeared from the map by a cowerdice attack on the heart of the city. It was bombed flat.
In this video live sceneries from this attack and the complete destruction of the center of Rotterdam.

With these sceneries we will start in part 4/6 of this serial.

Ecology:
Travelling by train offers the opportunity to meet people, to contact, to inform, to unite.
Travelling by train is one of the most excellent ecological ways to travel: that means that this way of travelling is supporting nature, environment, and so: mankind.
About Ecology:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ecology

Ecology is a philosophy that includes all aspects of life - both physical and spiritual. 'Eco' is derived from the Greek word oikos, meaning to feel at home. To feel at home somewhere simply means 'to feel at ease, to be able to be yourself'.

  • Thanks for this upload!

  • Thank you very much for sharing. It is horrible to think how much destruction human beings are capable of doing and admirable how many pain can tolerate and stand with pride. Greece has known extreme cruelty by Nazis, as well, so I can easily understand and sympathize with the tragedy of Rotterdam. I hope the world never sees such crimes again.
