Goodbye Fani - Καλό ταξίδι Φανούλα - English translation included

My friend Fani
There are countless human stories that go unnoticed
till eventually fade into obscurity
away from any publicity.

One such real story Ι will tell you today
because I do not want anything to wipe go out ....
This is the first childhood friend of mine from Kindergarten age.

Little Fani was a beautiful and good girl.
two years younger then me
always with a shine smile.
We were inseparable friends and play for endless hours!
The day I went for the first time
to school, she sat on the edge of the courtyard and chryed !
A few years later, I left with my parents to Germany
abroad and so we parted.
We did not corresponded.
I Search for her when I returned to serve the Greek Army.
With great sadness I found her bedridden from the neck down paralyzed.
Bedridden from the age of 15 because of a medical mistake.

So, my little friend Fani grew in the Bed for the rest of her life without having the chance to be ever happy . . .
Her Mama Lady Dina took care of her kindness and full of love while Her Father was always worried.
He was worried about what would happen to his litle Girl when he die first. . .
Her daddy finally died a few years ago.
The little Fani left alone with Mommy, of
to care and to nursing her tirelessly and without protest.
Last time I went in 2007 to my old neighborhood to see her.
She Smiled happy. I gave her a big Hug and kissed her trying very hard not to chry.
The Years go by , i took Mrs. Dina sometimes on the Phone .
In a strange way the past few weeks
I started to think very strongly on Fani and wanted to go see her.
I was too late. . .
Yesterday afternoon, called me a common school friend and told me that Fani with the bright shiny smile
will never smile again . . .
Dearest Fani I wish you to find the life
you never had here on Earth.
I wish you to be from now on no more Paralyzed
Bon voyage my dearest Fani
I will never forget you ! ! !
