@lingardwillems The practice is dying out. Women are rising up and demanding an end to it. Some of the great musicians of West Africa are leading the fight to outlaw it where it is still legal and to eliminate resistance to the law where it has been banned. It is interesting that the strongest tide of feminism in Africa is rising in Muslim or largely Muslim countries. I can see why it would be so, given the challenge they face.
