@DarkraiGiratina The ring is supposed to go at the end of the string like in the video for younger beginners so they don't have to learn how to wrap the string over the crown and trap the knot before winding. The trouble is, if you touch it at all before you throw it, the ring pops off. A better thing for beginners is to tie a loop in the end of the string with a bowline knot.
