  • As jordan said, this is a worst-case scenario stress test, applying full braking power in an overweight landing situation. The brakes would not react this way under anything approaching normal circumstances. Yes, the brakes caught on fire, but the important thing is they can still stop the plane under those conditions. You can always evacuate the plane if you have to once it's on the ground and stopped.

  • looks good to me, start production

  • @racedemon89 ouch that doesn't sound good hahaha

  • reminds me of my kawasaki kdx 125 when the front brake pads fell out on the way to college, the piston took over and endd up cooking

  • it doesnt expand from the heat

  • "Too right mate" -Cpt. Price

  • WOW intense! nice vid

  • or mod the engines to swich over and put on full trust

  • Hmm, I see a lot of reactions with: cool the brakes with water or put the fire out.

NEVER do that! The brake will explode! about 14 years ago a german airliner had to use his emergency brakes, one firefighter wasnt beware of the danger and opened his hose... 4 people where killed instandly.

So, Leave the brakes as it is. Brakes have to cool for 30 minutes, after about 75 minutes the brake has his normal tempature back.

  • this is only 1 wheel when its like 20 wheels then you must : it or not?
