You're cooling the magnets so they become superconducters, because then they attract each another up to a certain distance, and then stop,so there is a certain amount of space between them.
Am I right?

What would be a great video/model would be if you took the Flying model version of the Back to the Future Delorean and converted it.

how many m?agnets did you use? what kind? how many rectagular ones and how many square
-
I think I understand the levitation but what keeps the train on the track? How can it turn?
-
How much does a superconductor cost?
-
What magnetic material is the rail made of??? And how did you arrange them when you think of the poles???
-
Where do you get the superconducting magnets?
-
@Chessie9009 Magnetic Attraction +/- or (-/+) forward and for lift of magnetic fields of same pole either +/+ or -/-.
i see how it works w/ the liquid nitrogen but how is it propelled forward? or is it just given a push?

Hello Chessie, yes on this version you just give it a push but we have made another one with an automatic impulse which works until the superconductor warms up and the model lands naturally.
