Conclusion:
use apache for displaying dynamic web content
use a seperate server on a different domain/subdomain with nginx to server static content.
I think that's much better than using only apache or using nginx as a proxy for php

@baillou2 from:
* the questions they ask. i never heard any really smart question.
* from chris's knowledge. he doesn't know shit about most of the topics. he attempts to hide it, but he is so visible and predictable.
don't take "ubuntu" too literally. "mint" works too. point is distro with minimal learning curves (good for ex-windowsers).
it's ok to be newbies.it is just that i wanted to clarify that this is not a show for the well-versed linuxers as one of the commenters claimed.

@securezone What makes you say that Chris' fans are Ubuntu freshmen?

@reklaimer85 i abselutely disagree. the majority of the JB audience is ex-windows Ubuntu freshmen who worship Chris because he is their Boxee god.

@unixolsc No, I haven't noticed any troubling behavior so far. I use 0.43 in Ubuntu, Fedora, OpenSuse and Windows. What is the login-window-title-bug?
-
