Please take the challenge. Show me in scripture where Jesus was judged in our place as a substitute so that we are not judged. This is called PENAL SUBSTITUION. A very popular doctrine. But no verses have been found, it's missing in action. I believe Jesus paid a ransom for sins in his blood, but I don't see any way to interpret it as penal substitution.
Isaiah 53:10b "... when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin,..."

@ishellreal Is an offering a substitution? Look at it this way. If you were in jail, I could either replace you in jail, or I could pay a price for you to be set free. The price that was paid sets you free.

HE WHO KNEW NO SIN (JESUS) BECAME SIN, THAT WE MIGHT BECOME HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, 2 COR 5,21, SO YES HE DID BECOME SIN IN OUR PLACE. THIS IS ONE VERSE THAT POPS UP TO MIND BRO

@workerforGod That's very good, but think about it. If Jesus substituted the punishment for all our sins past present and future, then we would have no accountability for our sins. There are many verses that suggest that, but I can't come to the conclusion that Jesus paid for sins as a substitute for our punishment.
