Very nice playing and also very nice surname.

what are some unique characteristics in this piece?
-
It's a technical issue when trying to play octaves with smaller hands. It is to a large extent unaviodable.

good, but too much fucking about with the tempo. rubato is one thing but murder is another.

I love this piece!! : )

Talk about playing flat handed...

Molto passionato, ma non troppo allegro. Passionate, but not too fast. Slow down, dammit, you just ruined it.

overall, very well played. I dont believe the ending is very good though. For one thing, the tempo gets pushed way too fast. Secondly, in my opinion, the ending is wrong. There is a "quasi" ritard, not a full blown take whatever liberty you wish with the notes. Its essentially a "written out" ritard, and the way Brahms does it is quite ingenious and that is the only reason I comment on it . . . b/c i didnt believe it was all there. Those last four notes should define the tempo of the piece
this piece is meant to be expressed as dark and emotional, i think the feeling was brought out quite well here, well done!

Mmmmm, I'm working these rhapsodies right now, as is a friend of mine.
Interesting to hear her interpretation
