@meggido666 I probably came off as attacking you personally and I didn't mean it that way. I just want to point out what surfers should be focused on if they wanna save the environment. Surfers are DIRECTLY connected and dependent on the environment, yet our industry is super toxic and irresponsible when it comes to pollutants and waste. I saw a film that really lays it down called "Manufacturing Stoke". If you're interested in the subject check it out.

@meggido666 First, I'm guessing you drive a car to go surfing. Doesn't pollute the ocean directly you say? Crude oil is transported by ship AND extracted from below the ocean. Your board is probably made from PU and fiberglass, which emit VOC's. You probably don't use non-toxic, organic wax, so you are personally poisoning the ocean every time you paddle out. I am a huge supporter of protecting the environment and ocean, but tow in surfing isnt the problem. WE NEED TO BUY CLEANER SURF PRODUCTS!!
