"vehement" so like "vehemencia", many words in English are very similar to Spanish, but it's still too hard to pronounce English properly >_<

If you mispronounced my name, I would correct you because names are proper nouns. We Canadians use the US pronunciation for French-named US cities (eg. Montpellier not "mon-peel-yay", or St. Lois not "san-loo-ee"), because these are proper names with defined pronunciations; so I'm not talking about regional accents. And Obama does use the correct pronunciation.
The point here is that this video is supposed to teach correct pronunciation.

And since when do people pronounce foreign countries' names exactly as the foreigners do? Do you not call it SPAIN?

Given that 35% of English vocabulary derives from French, I would not be surprised. Although it doesn't seem silent to the mind, because there's not normally a pause between vowels. From Middle French.

Is it possible the Harvard Law educated president is not ignorant but pronouncing it that way as an aesthetic choice? Or to pander to the masses even?

Yes, that was before, now I know thanks......

Think you're using it wrong...

I love Chinese people.
Its not pronounced "eye-rack" like something you might find at your optometrist's office. Iraq is actually pronounced "ear-rock" even in "aye-mere-eye-kah". Sometimes the English language rules just don't apply to foreign words - especially when they're proper nouns.
