You remind me of Andy Rooney with this video. And mosty local kids in our community go to the local malls to trick or treat, and by the time their bags are full, the parents seem to think that enough for their kids, and skip the door to door trick or treats.

I can totally relate. This year all the Christmas crapola started so early that in some stores they never even bothered to put out costumes or anything. They were selling Christmas trees at the beginning of October at my local craft store! Halloween has always been my favorite holiday so, I felt cheated. Christmas has successfully choked out every other event of the year! That's why I'm boycotting it this year. Bring back Halloween!!

no 40 min. video? what is going on here?

i can honestly say each year less and less kids are going around here locally. good thing? bad thing? was hella fun as a kid. but then again i couldn't celebrate it on being kinda of a jew

Great to see you in front of the camera again!
I can kind of see where you're going with the whole "Halloween is being put on the back burner" take, but in some aspects I think that's a misconception. In your complex the kids didn't come and that's a shame, but just take a venture to any suburb and I think you'd see it alive and well. There are certain hot spots and cold spots, and unfortunately you have a cold spot.
I enjoyed your story about the witch and the spooky house!

this guy is right, and sometimes when i look out the window I say to my self, I didnt know my neighbor had 3 dogs, wow who's that lady parking her car right in front of my house, it's just as if everyone were strangers... I wonder what's going on :(

Quite a surprise seeing your face again!
It appears that it's regional, but in my area, Halloween is dead. I saw 4 kids this year, out in the neighborhood, down from 6 last year. They didn't stop here. Nowadays they all go to the malls, and to major sponsored public events; the neighborhoods are dead.
Like you, I remember when the night was alive with armies of kids and parents, up and down and all over the neighborhood, and it was a grand event. Not so now, and yes, it's a bit sad...

Tim, it's great to see you back in front of that camera again! :) Jim
Halloween is alive and well here in Ontario Canada. Had a record number of ghosts and goblins at my door last night. All is well.
