Exactly. "Socially responsible" is total crap in this case, especially proven since "there are no plans to commercialize them" meaning they can't gain a profit from it so they won't do it. What this is for them is not a camera for the poor, but a concept towards something that non-poor people (folks with disposable income) are willing to buy. It's this whole front that's so fake and enraging.

you know theres technologies out there that can already solve world hunger, i dont know why people dont do it though. its lack of motivation, lack of money, lack of education, etc. if i wanted to i can go to a country right NOW and solve world hunger, if i had some money, and some help. i can do it

Sigh, If you want to eliminate world hunger it is quite easy. Considering the 10% energy rule, if instead of feeding livestock for meat, that Soy being grown could be used to feed 10X the amount of humans. (and by the way meat is unhealthy in every way, 1 very fatty 2 many products have growth hormones that frequently cause cancer 3 protein can be found in grains soy nuts and more. 4 meat is more expensive and very wasteful considering 90% of energy is lost in the conversion to flesh in animals
