  • sean, in regards to your "smooth" 7 iron, when ever i try and hit any "smooth" iron i am too soft through impact and hit the ball straight right any ways for me to get the whole swing smooth to take some distance of a club and not go weak through impact??!!!

    regards!!

  • Hello veryspecialsteve!

Go to my "golf pro lesson timing and tempo update" video as well as the "Golf pro lesson perpetual motion drill" and simply be aware that you are LETTING THE ARM-CLUB UNIT SWING ALL THE WAY TO THE FINISH and not letting it fall into the ball; if the focus is on the ball, your body will quit turning out of the way past it and the arms will crash into you and the arm club unit will be prevented from releasing!

  • Hi Shawn. Ive read lots of articles saying that you should take the exact same amount of time to perform your pre-shot routine before every shot. I myself like to take maybe 2-4 practice swings until I get the one that feels right and then try to visualise the target. For me its not possible to do it the same everytime. Should I try to change this or have you any tips that might help me with this? Hope you can help!

  • Hey! Thanks for the question and comment!

What should be the same is the approach to the shot; you are on the right track! See what you need to do first with the lie and the shot; then you formulate the swing feel with the club and anticipation of how the ball will come out of the lie towards the target; then the set up should fall into place in regards to the feel; When your feel matches the picture, let it go! Your routine should be timed enough to do this between 20 and 30 seconds...

  • gabimuch,

What is golfswingguide? is it a website or a shawn clement video.

I have benefited greaty from Shawn's vids. My back used to hurt a lot after a round and now I barely even feel like I played 18 holes.

These videos are the best thing out here!

  • Hey tenaciousbee! You won't get an answer; it is a very crude way for these people to use mine and other golf videos to promote their porthole for promoting other golf websites; they use bogus names and accounts to do this and it is very disruptive...It took me a couple hours to remove them all from my videos...Thanks for the kind words and comment though!!:) Shawn
