Hadiths About Sufism ;-( Hadith means sayings of The Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) )
1. Hazrat Abdullah Bin Umar (R.A.) narrated that The Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) said " the best people among you are those people, if you see them , just seeing them reminds you Allah".
2. Hazrat Asmah Bint-e- Yazid (R.A.) reported that The Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) said " Go to seek the guidance and the blessings of Allah from the beautiful faces. Should I tell you who the beautiful faces are? Who are the best people amongst you? The best people are those if you see them, you get the remembrance of Allah. (Book:-Sunun Ibn-E-Maaja , Volume 2, Hadith No.4109).
3. Hazrat Abdullah Bin Masood(R.A) narrated that The Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) said that there are some people who are the keys of Allah's remembrance. Seeing them opens your hearts for remembrance of Allah. (Book:Tabrani).
4. Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Abbas (R.A) narrated that a person came and asked to The Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) that who are the Auliya Ullah* (Friends of Allah) ? The Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) replied that Auliya Ullah*(Friends of Allah) are those people, if you see them, seeing them produces the remembrance of Allah in your heart. This same Hadith has also been narrated by Hazrat Saeed Bin Jubair(R.A).
*Auliya Ullah means friends of Allah.Its singular is Wali Ullah.
5. There is a famous saying of The Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW)"Looking at the face of Hazrat Ali (R.A) is an act of worship."
This Hadith clearly shows that when people looked at the face of Hazrat Ali(R.A), light came out of his eyes which entered into their hearts, which cleaned them and produced the remembrance of Allah in their hearts.
6. In accordance with the words, attributed to God, of the following, a famous Hadith Qudsi:-The Angel Jibraeel (A.S) told The Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) :- Allah says:- My servant draws near to Me through nothing more than that which I have made obligatory (FARZ) for him. My servant draws near to Me through supererogatory works (NAFAL) until I love him. Then, when I love him, I become his hearing through which he hears, I become his sight through which he sees, his hand through which he grasps, and his foot through which he walks.
7. Hazrat Abu Saeed Al-Khudri (R.A) reported that The Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) said "Beware of the visionary insight (in Arabic: - Firasa) of the Momin (meaning Sufi) as the Momin (Sufi) sees with the light (noor) of Allah."
8. The Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) said "There is a piece of flesh in the body which, if it be healthy, the whole body is healthy and if it be corrupt, the whole body is corrupt. Truly, it is the heart".
Ecstasy in Hadith and Quran:-
1. In several books of Hadith including Tirmazi and Tabrani there are several Hadiths which mention that on the day of Eid some Muslims from Abyssinia (present day Ethiopia) came to meet The Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) in the Nabvi Mosque in Medina. They Experienced Ecstasy and started dancing and whirling. The Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) did not object to their dancing and whirling.
2. Once The Holy Prophet recited a Verse from the Holy Quran to his companions (Sahaba).There was a young Sahabi(plural:-Sahaba) who fell down on the floor and became unconscious. He experienced the state of Ecstasy. The Holy Prophet placed his Holy Hands on the heart of the young Shahabi. The young Sahabi started trembling like a fish. The Holy Prophet said to him recite " La Ilaha Ilallah"(There is no God but Allah).The young Sahabi recited the same. The Holy Prophet said to his companions "Look at him; he is a person who will definitely go to Paradise".
The Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) said to his Sahaba(R.A) that this paradise has been promised by Allah for those who fear standing in front of Allah. He (the young Sahabi) has achieved the state of Ecstasy in fear of Allah.
3. In The Holy Quran it is mentioned The Holy Prophet Hazrat Musa (A.S) (In English:-Moses) went to the mountain of Toor in the desert of Sinai for seeing Allah. When Allah Almighty appeared before The Holy Prophet Hazrat Musa (A.S) at first glance The Holy Prophet Hazrat Musa (A.S) fell unconscious on the mountain. The Holy Prophet Hazrat Musa (A.S) experienced a state of ecstasy at the first glance.
