The Team Egraf Electric kart, the first Kart in the world winning a race in the 125cc class, is made by a TopKart Frame with a serial config of 2 LiPoly battery packs of 40Ah and 48v nominal voltage each, custom made for Egraf by a big Asian manufacturer. The motor is a separately excited brushed type DC motor produced by the italian brand Magneti-Marelli (the same brand produce the F1 Ferrari KERS regen system). that has 30 Nominal Kw and 34 Kw Peak without gearbox.
The tyres are Vega-Bianchi and the weight is about 120Kg without driver.
The charging time is about 2 hr with a charger for each pack, Batteries are rated for 1000 Charge/Discharge cycles.
The dashboard is equipped with 3 leds as batteries discharging indicators and 2 analogics amperometers, one for the field current of the DC Separately excited motor and the other for the current absorbed by the motor.
It's an Italian success whose actors are the Driver Marco Falci, putting on a lot of driving experience and skills, and the Egraf Team who gave him this Top E-Kart.
In this race the E-Kart start from the Pitlane due to the fear of the Race judges it was hampering the 2 Strokes Karts, but before the finish line it surpassed them all !!!!!
