Hardwood Floor Installation: http://www.wichitafixit.com When installing a wood floor, start with removing the carpet, tack strip, pad etc. and sweep it clean.
Place a thin dense pad over the floor, this is a must to keep down noise and makes the floor softer to walk on
(use a quality pad) Remove base trim and cut the bottom of all door trim the thickness of the floor board (see video)
For the best look stagger all joints as you move across the floor, once the floor is complete, re install base board and use a stain stick to touch up any areas that may have been nicked.
