  • I didn't fail to see that I was on the gas a little coming into the apex. However, had my rear tire pressure been set to the recommended 30 psi for that day as apposed to 56 psi it was at (My stupid mistake) a I don't think VERY MINOR acceleration from a wee ole R6 would have broken the grip of a Pirelli Dragon Slick, bike on its ear or not. It was a damn good ride though, I got up laughing and the bike walked away too!!

  • I don't fail to see that I I was on the gas a little coming up on the apex, however had my rear tire been set at the recommended 30 psi for that day instead of 56 psi (my stupid mistake) I have a sinking suspicion that I would not have lost rear traction seeing as how a Perelli Dragon slick is more than capable of handling some VERY MINOR acceleration from a little R6, leaned over or not. It was a good ride though, I got up laughing and the bike walked away too!!

  • 56 psi !! dude , WTF ? no wonder ........but besides that in my opinion you were too much on the gas a little too early ! good lesson , i bet now you check your pressure more frequently !! haha ......

  • Hey Conrad this is Jeff's old roomate, pretty sweet video, to bad for the wipe. Do you have any more videos posted up?

  • I did exactly the same thing on my 05 R6 a few weeks back on that track.

Turn 14. I think my front tire wasn't in the best shape as well. Pressure may have been high and rubber had been sitting around a couple of years.

  • very nice video by the way ;)

  • I was at Calabogie on July 20th with my 636. I was drifting all 4 morning session, I put the blame in my suspension and my driving until I check my tire pressure during lunch break, 5 psi over the chart on Dunlop GP-A soft/medium rear... I put the good one (21 psi) and everything were fine. VERY IMPORTANT!

  • 56 psi???

Cold pressure on DOT and slick tires should be around 26... I dont get how you even got to corner with 56...

Also rear tire spinning should be easy to control, glad you're okay anyhow.

  • Unlucky mate, you were doing well too. Good vid

    Good luck !
