  • Tediashvili was such a great wrestler and has done so much for Soviet Union, but thank he received from Russians was his killed son who was killed on his watch in Abkhazia while russians shot down civilian air plane and his son standing next to him was hit by exploded fragment.

  • Saw Tediasvili twice in person; a very tough competitor, exemplifies old Russian style : Don't make excessive moves, go for control in set-up or tie-up, then score!

    I had a Russian coach at the old YMCA in East Cleveland who taught us a much different style than what Americans did in the 1970's...

  • International wrestling was much more exciting in the past. Now push out then stall.

    Wrestling needs to go back to longer periods so that endurance is a factor.
