Little thing that may interest you: Apparently they shot all the New York scenes before doing this studio stuff and actually asked the public in NY whether they would be offended if they did this joke and the majority said no, it was brave but carefully done :)

Everything can be funny without being cruel. 9/11 wasn't funny but it was a year later and the show was going to NYC. Had to cut the tension :) also the Brits are much more worldly than Americans.

well it takes a certain kinda person that actually has a sense of humor and just knows it is not funny because of who died on 9/11 but because of the characters ignorance, Adina is oblivious to everything that doesn't involve drugs alcohol sex, her best friend Patsy, clothes, designers, and sometimes Saffy.. anyone that does take offense is delusional like ADINA the character.. its awesome!!

actually last year i went to newyork and asked the taxi driver to take me to the twin towers , that was hilarious i really pretended i didnt know they had fallen and had the lovely pakistani taxi driver explaining me the situation. he couldnt belive a ididnt know and in the end he told me wherever country i am from he wants to go live there. we had a good laugh. come on guys life is tragic enough already just laugh!
