http://www.NOMTourTracker.com On Wednesday, Jethro Rothe-Kushel, a Courage Campaign Institute videographer, was removed from a National Organization for Marriage rally — at the behest of NOM's Brian Brown — and threatened with arrest by a Maryland police officer if he continued to film the event. The reason is clear: Brown, President of NOM, was embarrassed by yet another rally event in which attendance was extremely low. For updates on from the road, visit: http://www.NOMTourTracker.com

  • @DeaconMac It would be one thing if the cop was a rookie, but you *would* expect a Lieutenant and Assistant Commander to be keenly aware of the law. Is there an agenda at work here, or just plain ignorance and incompetence?

  • Maryland, one of the founding states of this nation, has been taken over by the religious extremists.

  • @citydogisu As some one who lives in MD, I can attest to that...

  • Ignorant, overweight and an asshole to boot. He hit the cop stereotype trifecta!

  • Well done on keeping the video running.

  • HAHAHAHA!!

there's no one there that cares for their pathetic event.

    BWHAHAHAHA!

  • @Bradshawful When it comes to the freedom of speech, if you are a disenfranchised minority like we LGBT, your freedom is suspect to the moral majority. This cop was way out of his bounds, and he was an asshole about it to boot. However the way most cops treat us LGBT nothing is be done, hell he might even get a pad on the back for upholding religious tyranny as well as being an asshole about it. I would risk arrest to film that event, and then us my arrest as proof of how poor we are treated.

  • Oh the Irony. Just think buddy cop, back 45 years ago you would be the one told to leave the "PUBLIC" area because you dont agree with bullshiters and assholes... Irony: because who needs civil rights anyway.

  • Nice BUTT!!!

  • @skykid2 Yeah, but what worries me are the actions some lunatic might take against this guy. However, getting on to a much fucking happier topic, the terrific results that came from California today have me beaming with pride. Screw NOM, we made a huge historic step forward today.

  • @mrquiet2009 damn right you should release his name every where. we need to hold people in power. ie police officers. next time he will not be as willing to violate anybodies rights.

  • Leaking it to other media sources could potentially shame the state/local police department into taking disciplinary steps against this officer without exposing him to excessive harassment. That being said, undoubtedly the biggest asshole in all of this is Brian Brown. He obviously feels it's his right to treat someone like shit instead of allowing that person to use their right to freedom of speech as spelled out in the First Amendment. He is a complete and utter hypocrite.
