  • I have the same bike with about 55,000 miles now. Do you just have stock sprockets?

  • No. I run a quick accel RK 520 chain with 14/40 sprockets. I ordered it thru Dennis Kirk

  • Hey bro your lucky i got 19000 on my 2006 zzr 600. How many you got now? What kind of tires do you use cuz I imagine with 50K you've been through a good amount of sets and when do you change them. I only ask because my pilot roads got this wobble feel at around 5K. I would greatly appreciate it

  • I now have 54,300 miles. I have tried many kinds but the best I use is Michellin pilots. They are the sport touring. They take a little to warm up, but once they do they are great. My last set went about 7500 miles. Mine had a slight wobble due to low pressure.

  • at what mileage have you replaced cam chain?

  • Never. Routine maintainance is key. Purrs like a kitten, runs like a cheetah. Runs 11.9 at 117 mph in the 1/4 mile at Bristol.

  • @Razer998 search f4i just turned 200,000 miles and be amazed...it's like a 5 or 6 year old bike and the guy has over 200,000 miles on it...yes two hundred thousand!! its fucking crazy

  • got almost 40,000 on my 2001 as well ,, runs better now then when i got it with 7,000 miles on it .

  • these things must run forever. Mine has over 37,000 miles on it.

  • Hmm i might have to try the pilots again. Yea i hope to get 50 thousand like you man seems like a solid bike to last a long time. I guess with proper maintenance it shouldnt be a problem. Plus its really comfortable for long rides. Hey thanks for your reply really appreciate.

  • congrats on 50,000 miles, i've never heard a 600cc super sports bike with that sort of mileage on it.

  • hehe that's why I love my bike, just have set proper valve clearance, cam chain is tight as fuck. The bike runs like new and it has 30,000 miles on it.

    thanks for the answer
