@bburns65 This song is called, "Victim of da Rap Game". I wanted to know for the longest time what this song was too. I just found out just now. But yes, "Victim of da Rap Game" is the name of the song that's playing in this intro.
The bad thing about gentrification is that it will slowly get rid of the families that actually work and try to be self sufficient. The good thing is that it will get rid of the gangsta trash in the area that plague the community.
Nice way of oversimplifying the situation. The truth is that the niegborhood is a cesspool and it's inhabited by many people who arn't invested in the community or the property in which they live. Since the government owns the property, the government has every right to decide what should be done with it. If people don't what to be at the mercy of the government , then they need to be self sufficient and not rely it's subsidies. The problem is a mentality of victimization and entitlement..
U aint lying! I don't live out in the Mob anymore but all my folks do. They was sayint that they always see ppl taken pictures of the property.
And I agree full heartedly that it is just "your poor so get out thing" I cudn't agree more. Gavin Newson tried to act like he was doin something for the community by shining his face all over the media in the hood. Wat has he really done? The money they used for that light rail system on 3rd could of been put to better use else where in the community.
what they want to do is tear down the projects in the hills and build condominiums on the hill. Even in "big block" and "west mob" actual families live there, gentrification is a misnomer its just a your poor get out thing.
My grandparents met and married in hunters point around the wwII era and even lived there during the riots in 1966...the city is more concearned with tourism and money while turning its back on this community...building more liquor stores than grocery stores. Money is the government's interest, not the people.
H.P is a rough ole place, alot of shady shit happens out here, but now itz changin wit all the redevelopment happenin. But itz gonna be tha hood 4 ever, ya feelz mee!
