@TombHorror Hey! Did they make that? Oh yeah, I remember now. I think my brain tried to black it out. Orcs and elf in the same bar drinking together. Let's just hope the A-hole that scripts this has actually played it through an entire campaign and didn't just stay at a Holiday Inn once.

@Vadawolf still make a great movie even better a tv sires vs this garbage remakes and restarts the writes do now. After the writers strike they lost their creative juices

@SenorKrinkle925 The info you are after is in Chaos Earth starting on page 10. The heading is The Great Cataclysm, Day One: December 22, 2098.
-
@starknight97 Well the bulk of the human death toll during the Rifts Apocalypse was from the upheaval of the Earth causing natural disasters. So even though it was triggered by a small nuclear engagement killing several hundred thousand people, it was the tidal waves, multiple volcanoes, and other natural disasters that killed billions further charging the ley lines. As well as additional deaths as rifts began spawning at nexus points bringing forth all sorts of nice baddies upon the survivors.

@Vadawolf yeah will that fits real world too at the end of the new start pact. it's only 1500 nuke apiece. add missile shields and the world no could get close too destroyed you need about 10k too burn the surface. if we can make the 7 years too get down too that many nukes. 5 GB where sent too south America and kicked thier buts with only 1 gb killed. Fits better this way i like th ei idea of great red woods ripping up though city's and rifts all over of-course.

@starknight97 If you go by the lore introduced in Chaos Earth you'll notice that the event was triggered by a limited nuclear engagement in South America which initiated a domino effect. The massive loss of life during an already high energy period (cosmic alignment) infused the ley lines with more energy than they could contain. Causing them to erupt 3 miles into the atmosphere in At ground zero, sending the Earth into convulsions triggering apocalyptic natural disasters the world over.

@Porty1119 sweet i miss playing it. I wanted too do a rifts robotech cross over myself.

@SenorKrinkle925 yeah some-one said it was in one the books after i stopped. I like the idea of the PA being mainly the earth mana returning. this be a very new twist and different idea to SHTF idea. this does fit their research though in beyond the super natural (history too rifts) if you kill something mana doubles at the time of death.
-
I had once read in one of the books that the nuclear war somehow brought the mana about, if I find where it is I will reply with that info, but it makes sense to me, all that radiation and whathaveyou exploding out on a grand scale could do it.

Rifts = hell yeah. Currently working on a wonky part-Rifts part-my own rules thingy with neo-Confederate mercenaries in Alabama flying GAW-refit MDC F-15Es against some demonic nutcases. And dinosaurs. Anything makes sense in Rifts.

@Droogie128 Yeah read that book and it really messes thing up i like the old idea of the Tellwin stuff in the first few books. Think about it with a full nuke war plant burn too so hows anything going to spring up they dropped the ball on that 1.
loved it. Didn't like you hinted it was a nuke war that started the apocalypse. though i sure some nuke were used. it was the mana returning too the earth. If Hollywood had any sense with their crap writer as of late they buy this idea only too mess it up.

@starknight97 Thats true but I was pitching it to the silent majority. How much of the start needs to be filled with explaining Mana?

@Evilgill No kidding the populace is ripe for this film. See how they flooded to Avatar.. and that story sucked, come on really. Like no one saw where that story was going? Unobtainium? Thats the worst name for an unobtainable item. I can't even imagine that meeting.... "They are there looking for this stuff.... ah its unobtainable to them its like.. No its called Unobtainium!?"

@HurtSquad And "Unobtanium" itself was a rip-off directly from "The Core". We need to get out of this rut of recycled material and demand something new and bold. Much like we need to tell Kevin the same thing.
