The tutorial covers how to use a regular digital camera in order to capture the motion of an actor's face. You will learn how to import and prepare your footage, how to extract the actor's motion and finally how to apply the motion to a 3D character.

Part 2 will show you how to use Autodesk MatchMover to track the markers placed on our actor and then export the data to Autodesk Maya.

  • I've updated the supplement files to include som Maya scenes from various stages of the project. The model and textures was created using the tool makeHuman.
