If the republicans understood the economy why didn't they fix health care on their watch. The fact that they didn't tells it all. Republicans had no interest in fixing health care. How come the vast majority of the industrialized world has universal "free" health care for all its citizens, but the United States, allegedly the most successful democracy in the world, chokes its people with unnecessary medical debt? Even fucking VENEZUELA, a 3rd world country dictatorship, has better health care than the US...and theirs is practically free! The infant mortality rate in Venezuela is less than half compared to that of the US.
