Garys Capstan Rope Winch

Using my homemade capstan rope winch at Mt. Moms house on Bluff Mt., Tennessee (Thanksgiving Week 2009) - After cutting firewood last Thanksgiving, I decided there had to be a better way to move logs around that mountain. After a bit of research, the engineering and work began - a few months later my winch was complete. Equipment Specs: Powertrain - Honda GX240 8 HP Motor w/ 6:1 Gear Reduction, Planetary Gear Head w/ 20:1 Gear Reduction (total gear reduction 120:1), Pull Rate - 30 Feet per Minute, Pulley Block - Custom made by Me, Rope - All Gear 9/16" Double Braided Composite Bull Rope (14,000 lb. Break Strength).

Wow... hi! this is EXACTLY what I have been looking for... I have dozens of logs that were thrown down my side yard gully by previous owner.... too big to move, to awkward to safely chainsaw them where they lay. Could you send me photos/explanations of what you set up? Thanks! -Tim
