There is no doubt that Frere Andre was an inspiration to many believers. The process of canonization, however, cheapens this.
Does any intelligent person really believe in miracles?
Even he didn't believe he had any miraculous healing powers.
By attributing these so-called 'miracles' to him, makes his life's lessons less meaningful.
