Dr. Martin was perhaps the 20th century's greatest defender of the Christian faith and of God's Word. Though the phrase "Emergent Church" was not even in use yet, in this 1987 clip Martin nailed the exact problem sweeping our churches and theological institutions today.

  • Dr. Martin speaks of the Church of God.........as if his words speak for that church. How am I to know if he or some other christian claiming to have the truth.......reading from the same Bible. Which Church on earth speaks for God.

  • The Bible alone speaks for God. Test everything that claims to be from God by His completed and sure Word. (I Thes 5:21-22, Gal 1:8-9)

  • Great message

  • bald guy with hair

  • @hrlascruces , You wrestle against words, Martin never claimed to speak for a specific body of bevielers, rather to the body of believers. He spoke to christians using the word of God, not anyone else. Check what He says like the Bereans did with the Apostles. Orthodox Christianity. Right teaching and feeding people of God. Precept upon Precept and Line upon Line, as the Bereans checked those that taught them. Responsibility and responsability for your own study of the word no one elses.

  • He is saing like Paul. It looks like he know that he will go out of this World. So he give Christ follower to another protection.

  • @aubhar If you dont hear the truth, if you wont change, you wont see God. :(

  • @hrlascruces When Dr. Martin would speak and it sounded like he was speaking for that church or group, it was because he was quoting from that groups own writings and the comment or quote in reality was from them for that reason.

  • bunch of lies and your all delusional
