Diverging Clear Productions was on location in South Dakota's Black Hills to film the only compound articulated steam locomotive in operation in the United States.

2-6-6-2T #110 is a 1928 product of the Baldwin Locomotive Works, and is in daily service hauling tourists over grades reaching 4 percent.

Over two days, cab and pacing scenes were filmed in addition to trackside scenes at some of the steepest locations on the line.

The full length DVD "Mallet In The Mountains" was released in December, 2010.
