Story is that the song was done and dusted, and the Damned, minus Vanian, were running it thru in the studio one night.
In comes Dave, after a walk in the evening air, and commandeered the mike.
He then sung that amazing falsetto vocal you hear at the end .

@Kelly14UK I totally agree. Every song from the Damned is great, yet I think they got a cheap deal from the record companies.
