That is correct, it is done in F on record. Nevertheless, the Tennessee Two tuned their guitars to F, they did NOT use capos in their early years, and due to that, the Sun recording is somewhere in between E and F. On the Folsom recording, you can play in E with your capo on the first fret.

Sure, A string: 0-1-2, then strum the regular B7 chord, then A string: 2-2-1, E string: 2b - 0

Song's in the key of E (or, F, the most times Cash played it).
So you play E (F) - then, on the part I am explaining here you go to A (A#) - back to E (F) and then to B7 (C7). That's the whole solo.
