The movie was over an hour later.

It was around 7:15.

Joe: So, what do you wanna do now?

Em: Um, lets play a game.

Demi: What game?

Em: Hide and seek. You guys hide and Ill look for you.

Demi: But you have to count to ten first.

Em: Okay.

Joe and Demi walked upstairs hand in hand.

Joe: I know the perfect spot. She hides there every time and always thinks I hide there too. Come on.

Joe pulled Demi into his room and over to his bed. He pulled up some blankets.

Joe: Get under.

Demi let go of his hand and climbed under and Joe followed her. Now they had piles of Joes blankets on top of them.

Demi: She always hides here?

Joe: Yeah -He grabbed her hand again.- She gets kinda upset when I dont hide here.

Demi: Oh. Does she know how to count to ten?

Joe: Im not sure.

Demi: Oh -Laughs.- Thats okay. We could use some alone time -She kissed him on the lips for a minute then pulled away.- Shes coming.

Joe: Its good that you have great hearing.

Demi laughed then they were both quiet.

Em: Hm..where did they go? -She jumped onto the bed landing on Joes legs and started moving the blankets uncovering Joe and Demi.- Ah! I found you guys! My turn to hide. You go count.

Joe and Demi left the room.

They went downstairs.

Joe: Where were we?

He put his arms around Demis waist and pulled her in to kiss her.

Demi put her arms around Joes neck and tangled her hands in his hair.

A few minutes later, Joe pulled away.

Joe: Come on -He took her hand and they went upstairs and into Joes room.- I wonder where Em is.

There was a small giggle.

Demi: Is she in here? -She looked in the closet.- Nope.

Joe: Is she in here? -He opened his shirt drawer.- Nope.

Demi: Maybe shes on the bed.

Joe: Maybe.

They sat on the bed and began uncovering Em.

Em: BOO!

Joe: Em?

Em: You found me.

Demi: You had such a good hiding spot.

Em: I did.

Joe: What do you wanna do now?

Em: Um, I want to..uh, I dont know.

Demi looked down at the too-long sleeves of Joes checkered sweatshirt.

Demi; We could..go have a snack.

Em: Yeah!

They all went downstairs.

Demi got out a bowl of cheese-its for Em.

Joe: Want some dinner?

Demi: Yeah.

Joe: Pasta?

Demi: Sure -She poured some cheese-its and grape juice and put them on the island and lifted Em up onto the tall barstool.-

Joe boiled some water and poured in some pasta.

Demi: So, Em, youre 4?

Em: I just turned 4.-She counted on her fingers.- 3 days ago.

Demi: Oh, what did you get for your birthday?

Em: I got a new bike. It was training wheels on it, too!

Demi: Wow.

Em: And a new blanket and some new crayons! And a coloring book.

Demi: You like to color?

Em: So much!

Demi: Maybe we can color after youre done eating.

Joe put two bowls of pasta on the island and got two glasses of water.

Joe and Demi sat at the other two barstools and they all ate.

Joe and Demi put away the dishes when they were done.

After they put everything away, they turned around and Em was gone.

Joe: My bed.

They ran upstairs and into Joes room and over to his bed.

They uncover Em once again.

Em: You found me!

Demi: Do you wanna color now?

Em: Yeah.

Joe: Frankie has crayons and coloring books!

Joe left the room.

Em: So.Im only 4, but Im pretty smart.

Demi: Really?
