@lester5192 It's not a lifestyle they want. It is what they have been told to want by the people who are destroying the earth for their own profit and try to set it up to make people think the way they want them to, hence the imitation of life. I could care less about imagery but to say nobody cares unless they're noticed for it because you claim everything else revolves around it is plain arrogant. Just because most people aren't sincere doesn't mean that everybody isn't.

@BANSHEEBOT1985 the song is against people who choose a lifestyle they want. like people who hate you for liking metal or looking like a metalhead, i don't care for the preppie lifestyle but i dont hate them for it unless they try hating on me, etc. and the planet? nobody cares about that unless they get noticed for acting like they care. nobody is sincere these days.

@lester5192 The fake people mentioned in imitation of life are the people who work against what is said here. They mindlessly go day to day killing the earth and they don't care for the planet that gives them life. If you ask me this self destructive behavior should be criticized and looked down upon but instead it's just starting to be common place. Look as hard as you'd like for lyrics that contradict each other. Miss the point some more.
