ju hintao, chinas main man, went to congress a few months ago and asked our nations to be allied superpowers, meanwhile congress dissed him by bashing chinas human rights record.
almost 75% of chinas economy is built on us consumption, china has also helped sustain our $ as the worlds #1 reserve.
Recently chinese officcials stated that china has no plan to make a global military network like USA but rather a domestic defence machine, their military expenditure has slown.

If you are rich in people, resources, land, history and treasures...what would you do to PROTECT them ?? China has all these and many more. Over their history, who has invaded and occupied their land ?? When she was once branded "Weak men of Asia" and "Dogs and Chinese not allowed", many people were silent. Now that she is strong and rich, why are people suddenly so fearful of her ?? fdoca is right...Make friends not enemies.

This is all bullshit. Think about it. If the U.S. did not have an enemy, there would be no need for 350 billion annual military budget. I'm suspicious if China is nothing more than a false boogeyman conjoured up by certain powers to have an excuse to exist. Why would China invest billions of dollars into a country they didn't believe in and plan to destroy. Does that make any fuckin sense?

Due to China's economic growth and the fact that they own at least a trillion dollars of our debt I am afraid that we will be surpassed as the "superpower of the world".
