My shih-tzu is a rescue from a puppy mill that i adopted - she weighs 6 lbs and is 3.5 years old - she's been sickly almost her whole life, and when I brought her home she had no hair. Teacup is a disgusting practice - it's often that they're inbred so they maintain certain characteristics of their elders, including the small size. Everything surrounding imperial and teacup is immoral.

PLEASE don't ever buy one of these "imperial" shih tzus. Not only are "imperial" NOT recognised by the AKC, ppl who breed these tiny versions of these beautiful dogs are bastardising its genetics. These pups almost always end up with serious health problems and early deaths. Be aware of this and NEVER buy from pet shops who sell puppymill puppies!
