The Tehachapi Renewable Transmission Project is a project to build a series of new and upgrade an existing high-voltage transmission lines for transmission electricity from wind farms and other generating units in Northern Los Angeles and Eastern Kern counties, California. The project is developed by Southern California Edison. Construction started on March 7, 2008. When completed in 2013, the transmission system will have a capacity of 4,500 megawatts that could provide power for 3 million homes.

The Altamont Pass Wind Farm is located in the Altamont Pass of the Diablo Range in Central California. It is one of the earliest wind farms in the United States. The wind farm is composed of 4930 relatively small wind turbines of various types, making it at one time the largest farm in the world in terms of capacity. Altamont Pass is still the largest concentration of wind turbines in the world, with a capacity of 576 megawatts (MW), producing about 125 MW on average and 1.1 terawatt-hours (TWh) yearly.
The San Gorgonio Pass Wind Farm is a wind farm located on the eastern slope of the San Gorgonio Pass in Riverside County, just east of White Water, California, United States. Developed beginning in the 1980s, it is one of three major wind farms in California, along with those at Altamont and the Tehachapi passes. The gateway into the Coachella Valley, the San Gorgonio Pass is one of the windiest places in Southern California. As of January 2008, the farm consists of 3,218 units delivering 615 MW. A single Southern California Edison Path 46 500 kV power line crosses the pass on the northern edge of San Jacinto Peak. This line links the Los Angeles metro area with the Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant.

  • @Crazy

My video on the Cambridge Holographic Infill explains that in detail.

Under the right conditions these will become clouds.

Scientists at the University of Maryland's Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Science, atmospheric sciences and agricultural meteorological professors at Iowa State University, the director of the climate science program, the European Geosciences Union, the National Center for Atmospheric Research

etcetera all concluded this. And MIT of course;)

  • Gee, a storm traveling through a pass between two 10000 foot mountains, makes no sense. Shouldn't it have just gone through the mountains?

  • Those aren't clouds though. They are radar returns picked up on doppler because the windmills are moving.

Same as these are not clouds, they are cars: gizmo(dot)do/n7hB5j

  • AWESOME work N3, thanks for the wake up and information, all the Best from NJ, USA. By the way that cloud is so sinister looking. One would think it was the end of the world if they saw it coming at them.

  • Watch the 10 last seconds of the Corona video!

  • WOW IM SURROUNDED BY WINDFARMS.........LOL

  • Thanks for the observations! That is interesting. I'm left wondering a) How the turbines actually create them, and b) Whether that is supposed to be a primary function of these parks or just an adverse side effect.
