The spiel used to sell Luckies on radio at the time, 'sinatralll', was delivered at "machine-gun" speed: "L.S./M.F.T.! L.S./M.F.T.! L.S./M.F.T.!! Yes, 'Lucky Strike Means Fine Tobacco'...so round, so firm, so fully packed...so free and easy on the draw..".

I remember an old gag that had two guys in a landing boat about to hit Omaha Beach in 1944 on D Day
1st guy "Here have a smoke"
2nd guy "No thanks I don't smoke"
1st guy "You will before the day's over"

I will always love L.S.M.F.T. I think when I'm old I will start smoking again I just loved it. You only live once enjoy it...
-
but you dont think blowing people with ones face is? and in public? smoke in the face is not perverse. it may be at worst rude but NOT perverse!
-
I think blowing deadly carcinogens in other people's faces is morally perverse.
-
so...tobacco smoke bothers you? then 'change the damn channel" as you people would usually say! just wait till they start doing reports on how soft drinks ccuase cancer or potato chips or popcorn( remember that one?) everything cuases cancer if you expose yourself to it to much. hell you can die if you keep drinking water ! all this becuase i called a bunch of morally pervers people pervers!

The surgeon general's report has nothing to do with google--I just mentioned it as a way to search because I figured a direct url would be broken. The report references evidence from many sources (not "maybes"), but I can only direct you to it; I can't make you believe it. However, as you're concerned about children you might want to read up on the effects of secondhand smoke on kids.
ls.mft,,i thought we lived in a free country.. why were these ad's banned ? it's ok kay to be gay but not to smoke in publi..am I the only one who see's how wrong things are?

The ads weren't banned as far as I know. This ran in theaters they year it came out. Other than that, I'm just putting up old advertising I think is cool, that's all, Dasenuff.
