Played on a 5 string violoncello piccolo.
Live solo performance/concert Josephine van Lier; Bach Suite Project. Six suites for unaccompanied cello in one afternoon on Mirecourt cello, baroque cello, carbon fibre cello, violoncello piccolo.

This Suite was played on a Jay Haide baroque violoncello piccolo tuned to A-415Hz and a Basil de Visser baroque bow.

  • New cello+gut strings = Squeaking cello that ruins the suite.

  • what a fantastic project it must be to play all these suites on a period instrument! congrats on such a fine performance on one of the most difficult movements of all the suites (or so it seems on a modern instrument)!
