@YungahSkemz Sorry but Schumacher became big when the cars got aided. The 94 Benetton seemed to be very aided. He became great after he got semiauto gearbox and TC in his car. The two years before he was just a talented driver of many talented drivers.

Piquet in that Williams would be champion in 91,92, 93,94,95,96,97. Piquet won 3 races for Benetton even before it became a big team in F1.

It's seems easy compared to nowdays? Totally wrong, those were true artists of the wheel, manual trasmission, failures, blown engine, bumps, a hard wheel to control, fire, no electronic helps. REAL ability.

@YungahSkemz you say a more manual car, yet his benetton was the one to be band in later years for having excessive driver aids illegally hidden in the cars electonics...

You can see how today's drivers are more aided in their cars. Perhaps that's why Schumacher is struggling because he was used to a more manual car that needed a lot more work to drive perfection

Look at this superb 1st lap by Nelson Piquet: overtook Alesi right on the grid, then overtook Schuey (due to clutch failure, that made Shuey not finishing 1st lap), then a PERFECT OVERTAKING (0:56sec) on Berger (He did the precise move at the right time to get the inside of the chicane, Berger resisted fiercely, but had to lift, no option), in 2nd lap overtook Prost whose engine exploded, look at the flames, lol...... REALLY NICE!!! That was real F1.....
