@VINCEJisSONiCtheMC Yea!!! thats what ive been sayin for years... let it be known bro!!
the term "rapper" to refer to all these Hip Hop MCs is actually mildly insulting... thats like callin a professional comedian a "Funny Man". Name: Jon Stewart, Profession: Funny Man.

@davethomas Anybody can rap... puttin rhymin words together... but it takes true lyricial skills and artistic expression to be an emcee! and thats basically the point this song is makin; "Too many rappers/ Not enough Emcees!"

@blacktopaz8 They are the same but for other reasons. The term rap was coined to separate those that rapped positively from those wangsta rappers. The record companies caught on to this and instructed their wangsta rappers to call their music hip-hop as well as the other rappers. Confusion ensued and soon people had no idea of which was which. At this point the lines are blurred to the point where the distinction doesn't matter anymore. They're both considered the same now but weren't always.

I don't get it. They are complaining about too many rappers yet they added a rapper to this song? Is 3 too little? If they added another rapper, would 5 be too much? Is 4 the magic number?
Someone please fill me in to this mystery. How many rappers is too many?

@uberari Actually hip hop is a culture, rap is the verbal expression.
-
Nas's work is real hiphop, i can realte to those who think rap is stupid, but its all about hiphop (like from the 90's) and nas is keeping it alive
-
@blacktopaz8 actually hip hop is more of a jazzy or rock feel while rap is completely synthesized

Word, rap and hip hop are two different entities and most dudes dont understand that.
Anybody can be a rapper, just put rhyming word together, but it takes true lyrical skill and artistic expression to be an emcee
