  • That's exactly right!!! The producer has ultimate control over the sound...the engineer's job is to respond to the producer which is why I would NEVER use a producer that is not a theory-driven musician....HE MUST KNOW THEORY!!... That's how Stevie Wonder was able to put down GREAT shit as well as Earth,Wind,and Fire...They had GREAT engineers that could respond accordingly!!! SELAH
