On Sept. 23, 201, executives from Solyndra appeared before the House Energy and Commerce Committee's Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. Once before the Subcommittee, however, executives invoked their 5th Amendment right and refused to answer questions about the financial mismanagement and ultimate failure of their company, which received over half a billion dollars in taxpayer money. Though the executives refused to respond, that did not stop Subcommittee members from making opening statements, which included questions that they would like to see answered.
"As I said before, it's not the end of the investigation," Rep. Myrick said during her opening statement. "I know that we'll get these questions answered in due time. It's the least we can do for the taxpayers who have been left holding the bag on this one."
These Solyndra people need to go to jail with obama for cheating the American people.
